The basis of my practice is an encounter with an empty studio and like many artist my work mediate the territory between abstraction and figuration The results express an ambiguous mixture of conscious and subconscious concerns such as: * An imagined nature * Impossibility * Contradiction * Necessary Journeys going no where * Entanglement in "something" * My relationship to the Infinite Paint is an ideal medium containing many useful properties that can assist in this concern. I use its fluidity to draw a parallel between the painted image and the idea that existence is flowing and changing. Each picture is a view, a concern, expressing a contradiction between the imagined and the real, the physical and the mental, an object and its environment.
